Single and lonely Margaret Brent of the Maryland colony requested two votes: one because she’s a landowner and one because she’s Lord Baltimore’s attorney. And wait for the shocker of the century… she was denied.

Um, EVERYONE knows that women aren’t allowed to vote. And why aren’t you married, Margaret? You’re in your mid-forties and men outnumber women 6:1 in Maryland!!!!!

We’d be more outraged about the voting thing but we just pity you.

Turns out everyone is ditching England to start life anew in the West. People are colonizing every piece of land they see, including Maryland, Connecticut and Rhode Island.
