Thank God it’s not East Jersey or we’d lose the beautiful Jersey shore!!

William Penn, along with other Quakers, bought land now known as New West Jersey. New East Jersey still belongs to George Carteret.

Quakerism is a new religious fad sweeping the New World. Also known as the “Religious Society of Friends,” the Quakers believe in a direct and personal relationship with God, the refusal to bear arms and the refusal to bow to any man. 

Our BIGGEST problem with the Quakers is their nickname “Religious Society of Friends.” Are they suggesting that Catholics, Jews and Protestants don’t have friends?????

A Jew by the name of Asser Levy is now the first Kosher butcher in America. His shop is in New Amsterdam along that street with the really big wall (constructed to defend from the Dutch and the Indians).

This is a big step for the Jews, having their own butcher and all!

We’ll try anything if it makes us skinny!!!

Jew hater of Manhattan Island, Peter Stuyvesant, has prohibited Jews from serving alongside fellow New Netherland citizens in the military. Furthermore, Hawk Face has the chutzpah to make the Jews pay a “freedom” tax for NOT serving in the military.

Still, that sounds like a bargain to us!

Fearing inquisition in Brazil, 23 Jews have fled to seek refuge in New Amsterdam, AKA Manhattan Island. Unfortunately, they have not been warmly welcomed by Governor Peter Stuyvesant.

Hawk Face actually tried to expel the Jews immediately but his bosses at the Dutch West India Company in Amsterdam overruled his decision. In fact, several directors at the Dutch West India Company are Jewish themselves.
